SHADE SAILS – With the right design, shade sails can provide excellent and attractive coverage. Unfortunately some inexperienced installers have designed sails with the incorrect pitch, creating a flat sail that allows moisture rention and the buildup of mould and mildew. Recently we have seen an increase in the wrong choice of graded steel used for the posts. It is important that the post are embedded correctly and the right wall thickness is used.

Only experience with thousands of installations can provide you with the right sail design for your project.

Using the highest quality purpose specific technical fabrics your shade sail will be highly tensioned between three or more anchor points. These points are usually concrete embedded custom-made galvanised steel posts. Over the years we have developed a number of building and tree anchor systems that may be used if the location is appropriate. To be efficient and safe all shade sails should be engineered to suit a particular location. Great care must be taken when using a building as an anchor point. It is extremely important to understand the intrinsic variables such as the ground, local weather conditions, sun tracking, human behaviour, traffic, underground and overhead services and a host of safety issues. These and other matters are included in our site-inspection, sail design, engineering, and installation processes. Gallery
